Step 2: Support Teachers with Simple, Proven Systems

Great resources are only effective when they're easy to use.

We provide the school with a system that is a daily circulating library between the school and the home. This system is designed to not strain the school budget, teachers’ time or the limited resources of the school’s existing library.

The RMAS system is broken down into an 8-month program of 200 storybooks. The books are divided into monthly kits. Each teacher has one kit per month that contains 25 books. Each afternoon the student selects a book for their backpack to take home for the parents to read to them. The student returns the book the next day and process repeats. At the end of the month, the teacher gets a different monthly kit and the program continues. At the conclusion of eight months, EACH child will have been exposed to the rich vocabulary and book language these books offer- all without any financial burden to the school or to the parents.
